LAKELAND, Fla. – Denny Plummer, a 41-year-old Lakeland man with a lengthy criminal record, was arrested Wednesday night after providing a false name to a Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) deputy during a traffic stop.
Plummer, whose prior arrests include robbery, burglary, grand theft, vehicle theft, fraud, and drug offenses, has served eight prison terms since 2004 and was most recently released in November 2024.
On April 2nd, at approximately 9:30 p.m., a PCSO deputy conducted a traffic stop on North Wabash Avenue in Lakeland. Plummer, who claimed not to have any identification, gave the deputy a false name. However, the deputy quickly determined Plummer’s true identity…
