RIVERVIEW, Fla. (CBS12) — A 43-year-old man is behind bars after he claimed a woman had accidentally shot herself, only for deputies to find out that he did the shooting.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), on Saturday at around 1:22 a.m. the HCSO’s communication center received a call about a woman who had accidentally shot herself near Durmaine Valley Road in Riverview.
When deputies arrived on the scene, they made contact with Leroyce Durham, who directed them to a woman who had a gunshot wound to her lower back. HCSO says she was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition…
