TAMPA, Fla. — Millions in federal funds are slated to help Hillsborough County and other parts of the Tampa Bay area recover from devastating storms.
County officials are expecting to receive $709 million in disaster recovery funds through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant program. They’re aimed to assist with recovery and mitigation efforts related to hurricanes within the last two years, including Helene and Milton.
