Proposed toll road could threaten rare plant found only in Polk County, advocates say

POLK COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A plant that only is known to exist in Polk County, the Blushing Scrub Balm, is at risk due to proposed routes for a planned toll road, native plant enthusiasts say.
