On June 11, the Plant City Police Department (PCPD) executed a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of W. Morrell Drive. This operation was the result of an ongoing investigation into illegal drug activity that continues to threaten the safety of our neighborhoods. In addition to other vehicles, PCPD deployed its Bearcat tactical armored SWAT vehicle to the scene. Officers took four individuals into custody without incident. The following people were arrested and charged:
- Vanessa Flores, 40, of Plant City – Possession of a Controlled Substance (3rd Degree Felony) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (1st Degree Misdemeanor)
- James Froman, 60, of Plant City – Possession of a Controlled Substance (3rd Degree Felony) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (1st Degree Misdemeanor)
- Tavia Kimmel, 55, of Plant City – Maintaining a Place for Drug Use (1st Degree Misdemeanor)
- K.C. Melton, 32, of Plant City – Possession of a Controlled Substance (3rd Degree Felony)
The department issued the following statement:
