Federal Jury Convicts Davenport Man of Fentanyl Trafficking in Orlando

Orlando, Fla. — A federal jury has convicted Jose David Figueroa Pacheco, 33, of Davenport, on charges related to fentanyl trafficking following a joint investigation by federal and local law enforcement agencies. The conviction was announced by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida.

Figueroa Pacheco was found guilty after a trial stemming from an investigation led by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. Prosecutors said the operation targeted firearms and narcotics trafficking in the Orlando area between August 2023 and August 2024.

Evidence presented during the trial indicated that on December 13, 2023, an undercover officer arranged to purchase a firearm and fentanyl pills from co-defendant Alberto Ismael Salinas Valencia. Salinas Valencia, who was a passenger in Figueroa Pacheco’s truck, arrived with the firearm at the meeting location.
