BARTOW, Fla. – A 51-year-old Bartow man, Nathan Cagle, found his pleas for leniency ignored on Thursday evening as Polk County Sheriff’s deputies apprehended him on an active warrant, leading to a host of new charges.
Cagle, who was wanted for Fleeing to Elude, Trespassing, and Resisting, was taken into custody after a brief struggle during which he allegedly attempted to dispose of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
The incident unfolded on Thursday evening when Deputy Nason, while patrolling the area of Bomber Road and Spruce Road northeast of Bartow, recognized a white pickup truck known to be driven by Cagle at a residence the wanted man was known to frequent.
