Polk County Deputy Pursues and Apprehends Woman with Active Warrant
LAKELAND, Fla. – A 34-year-old Lakeland woman, Talisha Cody, was apprehended Tuesday night after attempting to evade a Polk County Sheriff’s Office deputy who was trying to serve an active warrant.
Cody was wanted on a Polk County warrant for Failure to Appear for Battery on a Person over 65.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Goolsby was on patrol Tuesday evening, June 24th, on US 92 near Combee Road, east of Lakeland. Shortly before 11 p.m., Deputy Goolsby observed Talisha Cody riding a bicycle and recognized her, and knew she had an active warrant…
