Zephyrhills bar manager chases garbage truck through streets, shoots driver: police

ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. (WFLA) — The manager and operator of a bar in Zephyrhills is facing attempted murder charges after police said he chased a garbage truck through city streets and shot the driver.

Quinson De’Shawn Croson, a Dade City resident and manager at LA Billiards, was taken into custody Monday on two counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to the Zephyrhills Police Department.

According to detectives, Croson is believed to have gotten into an argument with the garbage truck driver around 5 a.m. on Friday, June 27, in the parking lot of a Wawa gas station off Gall Boulevard.

Authorities said the two men are “acquaintances” and knew each other prior to the incident. The victim told police he saw that Croson appeared to be intoxicated and suggested that Croson go home…
