After 2.5 Years, Family Gets Closure: Suspect in Plant City Homicide Caught Fleeing from Mexico
PLANT CITY, Fla. – Nearly two and a half years after a fatal shooting rocked a Plant City liquor store, justice is finally within reach. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) announced today the arrest of Oscar Juan Molina, 48, the man accused of the 2022 homicide outside Twilight Zone Liquor.
Molina was apprehended on July 2, 2025, in Hillsborough County after a lengthy international manhunt.
The incident, which occurred on April 13, 2022, began as a physical altercation inside Twilight Zone Liquor at 4010 State Road 60 East. The dispute tragically escalated, spilling into the parking lot where one person was fatally shot.
