LAKE COUNTY, Fla. — While the idea of summer break is usually fun for children — because they get out of school and can have fun — it can actually be a tough time for families trying to feed their kids. One organization is stepping in to help families in the Four Corners area.
According to Feeding America, 20% of children across the country are experiencing food insecurity, and in some rural counties, child food insecurity is as high as 50%.
