Traffic Stop Takes Unexpected Turn for Lakeland Man on July 4th
LAKELAND, Fla. – James Morrow, Jr., 41, of Lakeland, found himself in handcuffs early Friday morning, kicking off his Independence Day celebration with an arrest after a seemingly minor traffic stop escalated into a confession of outstanding warrants.
The incident unfolded around 12:41 AM on Friday, July 4th, when a Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) deputy witnessed Morrow commit a traffic violation. What initially appeared to be a routine stop took a turn when the deputy observed Morrow’s visibly nervous demeanor.
When asked for identification, Morrow claimed he didn’t have any on him and provided the name “Antoine” to the deputy. He then refused to give a last name or date of birth, even after being asked a second time…
