“I Already Know,” Says Driver Before Trying to Flee Polk Deputy

LAKELAND, Fla. – A routine traffic stop on Friday afternoon quickly escalated into an attempted flight from justice for a Lakeland man, who seemingly admitted his offenses before a Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) deputy even had a chance to state them.

At approximately 2:21 PM on Friday, a PCSO deputy initiated a traffic stop on 34-year-old Jacob Bozeman of Lakeland at the intersection of Kathleen Road and Spivey Road. The deputy’s attention was drawn to Bozeman’s vehicle after observing him make not one, but two illegal turns.

Upon being approached by the deputy, Bozeman, without prompting, reportedly stated, “I already know, it’s for me turning,” seemingly acknowledging the traffic infractions…
