TAMPA, Fla. — A Bay Area man has dedicated his life to taking care of the local drinking water and to volunteering at the Florida Marine Aquarium.
Warren Hogg is the chief science officer for Tampa Bay Water. The agency is the water wholesaler for utilities that serve 2.6 million people. He is also proud of his work to preserve local wetlands.
Hogg was recently honored by the Florida Marine Aquarium for his 30 years of volunteer service. Every Friday morning, Hogg shows up at the aquarium before it opens and puts on a wet suit and scuba gear. He gets in the underwater exhibits and starts to clean them…
