Hillsborough deputies announce key arrests after taking down organized theft ring that targeted trucking industry

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — The Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister announced the takedown of an organized theft ring that targeted the trucking industry on Tuesday afternoon.

Chronister said it took months of surveillance, intelligence gathering and coordinated enforcement across six jurisdictions and two states to dismantle the organized theft ring that targeted the critical computer systems of semi-trucks.
