Suspect Arrested In Lake Wales Shooting After Online Comment Dispute

23-year-old on Probation for Armed Burglary Faces Attempted Murder Charges

LAKE WALES, Fla. – A 23-year-old Lake Wales man, Rashad Mullings, was arrested today in connection with a Tuesday night shooting incident stemming from an argument over online comments. Mullings, who is currently on probation for armed burglary, faces multiple charges including attempted first-degree murder.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, July 29, at approximately 11:30 p.m. According to authorities, Mullings became enraged over an argument concerning online comments. After discovering the victim’s location, Mullings reportedly drove to the Lake Wales Gardens apartments to confront the individual.

Upon arrival, Mullings is said to have exited his vehicle, retrieved a firearm from the back, and fired three shots before fleeing the scene. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the shooting…
