Woman Arrested After Argument Over Sheets Escalates to Violent Attack
POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A domestic dispute over bed sheets and blankets Sunday evening resulted in a Fort Meade woman being charged with attempted second-degree murder and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) deputies were dispatched to a residence in Fort Meade around 5:18 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, 2025, following a report of a battery.
According to the victim’s account to deputies and detectives, Anaya Durandisse Williams, 26, became enraged over the type of bed sheets and blankets the victim had prepared in Williams’s room. The verbal argument quickly turned physical when Williams allegedly grabbed the victim by her hair and struck her on the head with an empty glass bottle, causing it to shatter.
