Stolen Mini Bike In Indian Lake Estates Leads To Arrest Of Polk County Probationer On New Drug Charges

Man with priors arrested on new drug charges after being found with a stolen mini bike.

POLK COUNTY, Fla. – What began as a report of a stolen mini bike on Monday quickly escalated into the arrest of an Indian Lake Estates man facing multiple felony charges, including drug possession.

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO), a deputy was dispatched to a residence around 12:04 p.m. on September 1st after a report was filed about a stolen $500 mini bike. The victim told the deputy the bike had been taken the night before and that several people had since seen 45-year-old Pedro Velazquez Cabrera with it.

The deputy, knowing that Cabrera was on felony probation for methamphetamine possession, went to Cabrera’s home to investigate. As the deputy approached the house, he passed an open garage door and saw the stolen mini bike inside…
