The Lake Wales Arts Council will host “Sacred Currents: Spirituality in African Art,” an immersive exhibition running from Oct. 1 through Dec. 12. An opening reception will be held Oct. 16 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Lake Wales Arts Center.
Curated by cultural historian and collector Daniel W. Jones, “Sacred Currents” invites visitors to encounter works that bridge the earthly and the divine, the living and the ancestral and the communal and the personal, according to a news release.
