Polk County Duo Busted for Construction Site Theft and Drug Possession

LAKELAND, Fla. – Two Lakeland men are facing multiple charges after being caught by deputies allegedly stealing materials from a construction site and being found in possession of methamphetamine. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office arrested Joseph Allen, 47, and Dennis Allen Paul, 65, on September 12th.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to a construction site near Lake Parker Drive around 6 p.m. When they arrived, they found Allen and Paul loading construction materials into a Ford F-150 pickup truck. The men claimed they had permission to be on the property and remove the items, a statement deputies quickly determined to be false.

Deputies noted that the men stated they had not seen the large “No Trespassing” signs clearly posted at the site, despite standing just 15 feet away from one…
