Authentic, English-style tea service is coming to Lake Wales this November. A new tea house, called Lady B’s Tea Parlour, is opening at 205 E Stuart Avenue, and it’s about to be a local mainstay for high tea and luncheon.
Founded by Jessica Bray, the Paris Le Cordon Bleu-trained chef who owned and operated downtown Lake Wales cafe Très Jolie, and partner Deborah Partlow, the Lady B’s will be “a 32-seat restaurant serving traditional teas,” says materials provided to What Now by Chef Bray. “We will also offer a limited luncheon menu, designed to serve area business employees and residents.”
“Deborah lived in England for some time, and I worked there in international real estate before I retired,” Bray told What Now on Wednesday. “So we both had experience with English-style tea, and we wanted to provide a tea parlour experience that would be just like that. We’re trying to evoke what it would be like if you found a little tea room out in the country.”…
