Oct. 9 (UPI) — A pair of animal control officers in Florida came to the rescue of a wood stork found with its legs entangled in a fishing line and lure.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said on social media that residents reported the stork appeared to be struggling in Bartow’s Hack Lake.
Animal control officers brought the bird to shore and cut it free of the fishing apparatus.
