Muggier start to the week, next front arrives Wednesday

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A mild start to the work week with a stalled front over the Tampa Bay area. Temperatures will warm into the upper 80s with feels like temperatures up to 95 degrees this afternoon. We’ll see a mixture of sun and clouds with just a 10% chance of a few stary showers.

A similar forecast is in store for Tuesday.

Another cold front will approach Wednesday. This front will pass all the way through and lower humidity will arrive Wednesday night into Thursday bringing comfortable nights and mornings back to the area.

It turns mild again over the weekend with a low chance for a few showers.

Invest 98L is moving west through the Caribbean Sea. It has a high chance of developing into a tropical depression by the middle of the week. Forecast models stall the tropical wave in the middle of the Caribbean Sea this week before most of them lift it off to the north. early next week.

A few of the forecast models keep the system stalled for longer and drift it farther west. This is leading to some uncertainty in the long range forecast on where the system will eventually go. We will keep an eye on it through this week.
