October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Hungry Howie’s again brought attention to fighting this cancer with Love, Hope, and Pizza. For every pizza sold in October, a donation will be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. People can round up their bills to donate, and also make donations through the company website. On October 17, the Hungry Howie’s location at 208 N Alexander St. held a Breast Cancer Bash aimed at bringing awareness and support to those affected by breast cancer.
The event featured live music, face painting for kids, and an appearance by a local breast cancer chapter sharing resources and information for families in the community.
