LAKE WALES, Fla, (WFLA) — A man was arrested in Florida on Tuesday after he fled a traffic stop on foot and ended up in a swamp, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office reported that John Riff fled on foot from a traffic stop in the area of Shellcracker Drive and Catfish Road.
Riff tried to evade authorities by burying himself in a muddy swamp, but he eventually was found by a Lake Wales police K-9.
