The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will begin a resurfacing project on U.S. 17/92 from Lake Alfred to Haines City in mid-November 2025. The project includes milling and resurfacing the asphalt, updating curb ramps to meet ADA standards, and resurfacing side street entrances, selected driveways, and U.S. 27 ramp connections.
Some sidewalk sections in Haines City will be closed during construction, with pedestrian detours provided. Ramp closures at the U.S. 27 connections will require drivers to use detours and U-turns.
