Lakeland Residents Asked to Help Identify Suspects in Kangaroo Gas Station Beer Theft

On October 30, 2025, two unidentified men attempted to steal beer from the Kangaroo gas station at 2100 Memorial Blvd W in Lakeland, Florida. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office reported that the suspects entered the store at about 10:28 p.m.

Surveillance video shows one man, described as Hispanic with a beard, wearing a black shirt, khaki shorts, and a blue backpack, leaving with two cases of Busch Light beer without paying.

The second man, described as Black with a beard, wearing a black shirt with white undersleeves, jeans, and a burgundy baseball cap, dropped the beer and left after staff confronted him. The stolen items are valued at $42.78…
