Man charged with threatening to kill police officer and his family

A 30-year-old man was arrested for allegedly possessing brass knuckles and threatening the life of Monroe County Sheriff’s deputy and his family after being arrested after a traffic stop on U.S. Route 1 in Key Largo on Saturday, Nov. 15.

The Sheriff’s Office said Lucien Alexandre Crooks, of Davenport, Florida, was pulled over for allegedly not moving over and slowing down for another police vehicle conducting a traffic stop just after 8:30 p.m.

“Crooks did not have a valid driver’s license. An open bottle of tequila and a cup of alcoholic beverage were located near the driver’s seat. A pair of brass knuckles with a knife attached was found in his pocket,” MCSO said in a statement…
