LAKELAND, Fla. – Two children are missing their rides after a bold mid-morning theft on Tuesday, and Polk County deputies are asking the community to keep an eye out for a pair of distinct red bicycles.
The incident occurred in broad daylight on November 18, 2025. Around 10:22 a.m., two suspects entered a property in the 5000 block of Lily Court and made off with two BMX bikes. The stolen bicycles are easily identifiable: both are red and feature checkered race flag decals. One is a 16-inch model and the other is a 20-inch, with a combined value of approximately $260.
Investigators have released descriptions of the two suspects, identified as black males, based on evidence from the scene:
- Suspect 1: Seen wearing a blue hoodie and long black pants, carrying a backpack.
- Suspect 2: Seen shirtless wearing camouflage shorts, also carrying a backpack.
