Nicaraguan man pleads guilty after struggle with ICE agent in Polk County

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – A Nicaraguan national who injured a federal agent trying to arrest him in Polk County in August has pleaded guilty to charges stemming from the incident.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office said Dec. 3 that Denis Napoleon Corea-Miranda, 22, has pleaded guilty to forcibly resisting, opposing, or impeding federal officers.
