A Lakeland tax preparer has been sentenced to seven years and six months in federal prison for conspiracy to commit wire fraud and aiding and assisting in the filing of false and fraudulent tax returns.
U.S. District Judge Virginia Covington sentenced George Tucker Jr. on Dec. 19 in the Middle District of Florida court in Tampa. Tucker entered a guilty plea on Dec. 2, 2024, the Department of Justice said in a news release.
