The Polk County Commission took another step toward preservation of the county’s natural resources with the approvals of two land purchase agreements with Preservation of Natural Florida Inc.
Under the agreements, Polk County is to acquire environmental sites that were recommended by the Conservation Land Acquisition Selection Committee.
The North Walk-in-Water Creek Lots cost the county $226,250, which includes $5,000 for closing costs, Tabitha Biehl, director of Polk County’s Parks and Natural Resources Division, said during a Dec. 12 agenda review presentation…
