The year 2025 was a year to be proud of here at WMNF. After government cuts at the state AND federal levels, the community rallied in a way that was unprecedented. Staff, volunteers, those who listen, and people who heard about us from a variety of national media outlets came together to counter those financial losses. More than $300,000 was raised in a day.
By the numbers, WMNF consistently ranked in the top 20 of all radio stations in the Tampa Bay area. More than 68,000 of you listen online. Volunteers have put in more than 77,000 hours to keep us going on air, behind the scenes, and at events around town. The News & Public Affairs programs produced at WMNF have earned more than 11 awards locally, state-wide, and regionally from Creative Loafing to the Florida Association of Broadcast Journalists. Between the Live Music Showcase on Fridays, live WMNF music events, and musical artists performing in the studio, you have heard more than 120 artists not heard on the radio anywhere else in our area.
