POINCIANA, Fla. (WFLA)— The Polk County Sheriff’s Office opened up the agency’s sixth district office on Monday in Poinciana.
The new office is the result of extensive growth in the northeast area of Polk County, the sheriff’s office said.
The expansion is also part of a combined commitment by the Board of Commissioners and Sheriff Grady Judd to keep crime low and the quality of life in Polk County high.
“We are excited about this new district station at Poinciana. It represents our commitment to serving the community’s needs in the fastest-growing part of our county—northeast Polk. By adding a new district and realigning our patrol districts, we will continue to be on the leading edge of providing the best law enforcement services possible to our citizens and visitors. I thank our County Commissioners for partnering with us to keep Polk County a safe and wonderful place to live, work, and visit.” Sheriff Grady Judd said.
