‘I was hungry’: Man breaks into Polk County home to use microwave, leaves wallet behind, Judd says

POLK COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A man was arrested after Polk County deputies said he broke into a home south of Mulberry to use a microwave because he “was hungry.”

During Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd’s morning briefing, he discussed how the homeowner woke up in the middle of the night to find 26-year-old John Crookham in the kitchen.

Judd said Crookham ate a can of the homeowner’s Vienna sausages and got something out of the freezer to microwave…
