‘Expect To Be Shot’: Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd Rips Minneapolis Mayor, Defends ICE Agent’s Use Of Force

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd offered a blistering assessment of the recent officer-involved shooting in Minnesota, defending the actions of an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent while launching a scathing critique of Minneapolis leadership.

Addressing media inquiries regarding the incident, in which an ICE agent shot a driver who appeared to maneuver an SUV toward law enforcement, Judd cleared the air regarding the use of lethal force. The Sheriff characterized the vehicle involved as a “two-ton deadly weapon,” arguing that the video context justifies the agent’s response.

“During this encounter, the vehicle backed up and then drove directly at the ICE agent,” Judd said. “So, what did the occupant expect? They should have expected to be shot when you commit a deadly assault on a law enforcement officer.”…
