The Florida Department of Transportation will be extending nighttime detours scheduled for Jan. 13 and 14 as part of construction activities along Interstate 4 in Polk County.
The temporary traffic changes will take place between 9:30 p.m. and 6 a.m. and are necessary for crews to adjust signal timings to prevent high levels of congestion and ensure the safety of drivers and work crews, FDOT said in a news release.
