Florida man dies of fatal head injury after steep drop flips ATV at Lakeland park

LAKELAND, Fla. (WFLA) — A 32-year-old Fort McCoy man died at an ATV park in Lakeland on Saturday after getting into a crash, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office said.

Police pull man’s body, still buckled in car, out of Lake Marion; small dog rescued

The man was riding a 2018 Kawasaki ATV at the Rancho Bonito park at around 3 p.m. when the crash occurred.

PCSO said he was heading down a steep cut that had a 24-30 inch vertical drop, which caused his ATV to flip over, trapping him underneath.

17-year-old dies after being struck by CSX train in Brandon

He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and suffered a fatal head injury.
