Man gets 35 years in prison after ‘savagely’ attacking, murdering girlfriend in Auburndale

AUBURNDALE, Fla. — A man was sentenced to 35 years in state prison after he “brutally and savagely” attacked and murdered his girlfriend in Auburndale, court records show.

On Jan. 9, 2026, Andrew Ridgeway withdrew his not guilty plea and pleaded no contest to second-degree murder and tampering/fabricating with physical evidence. He was then adjudicated guilty.
