CENTRAL FLORIDA, USA — Florida Highway Patrol troopers arrested 28-year-old Alfred Escobar-Hernandez early Wednesday after allegedly clocking his Infiniti sedan at speeds reaching 148 miles per hour on Interstate 4, a violation that falls under the state’s newly enacted Super Speeder law.
According to FHP, a trooper was monitoring westbound I-4 near Lakeland around 2:55 a.m. when an Infiniti G37x caught attention for aggressive driving. Using state-issued radar, the trooper recorded the vehicle traveling 101 mph in a posted 70-mph zone.
