As Ford Authority reported last week, Jarrett-Gordon Ford in Winter Haven, Florida, recently suffered a fire in its service bay, which quickly spread, engulfing a grand total of 20 vehicles before the Winter Haven Fire Department, Polk County Fire Department, and Lake Alfred Fire Department combined their resources to put it out. As one might imagine, that means the dealership will be delivering some bad news to at least a few customers, but it seems like some of them are currently wondering what that status is.
According to WFLA news, customers of Jarrett-Gordon Ford are trying to figure out if their vehicles were impacted by the fire, but as one might imagine, the dealer is dealing with quite a lot of chaos at the moment – with cleanup crews, environmental services, and investigators on site, not to mention the fact that the actual cause of the fire has yet to be determined. One of those customers – Jessica Casto – found out about the blaze while scrolling Facebook.
Casto’s 2016 Ford Escape broke down recently and wound up at Jarrett-Gordon Ford, with a picture of her and her late father inside. “I just want to know if my car’s OK, what my next step’s going to be, a vehicle for me and my three children. I’m a single mom. So that’s kind of stressful for me just not knowing how I’m going to continue to get me and my kids around,” she said…
