INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Deputies recently released footage of a pursuit involving a Winter Haven man suspected of crashing a stolen vehicle and fleeing before being caught by sheriff’s K-9 Knox. The man – identified as Tamir Divine Harrison – led deputies on a high-speed chase throughout Indian River County before crashing the vehicle into a railroad crossing sign and then hiding in the woods in November.
“Great job, K-9 Knox and everyone involved, for keeping our community safe,” sheriff’s officials said in a statement.
Harrison, 20, was charged with aggravated fleeing with injury or damage, reckless driving, leaving the scene of a crash involving damage to property, resisting officer without violence and no valid driver’s license. Harrison was held Tuesday at the Indian River County Jail on a $57,500 bond.
