Cold weather causing problems with some cars in Tampa Bay

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The two most common problems when temperatures dip are low tire pressure and issues with older batteries, AAA told News Channel 8. They also explained what precautions to take.

“This cold weather could really shock your vehicle system and really put it to the test,” said Mark Jenkins, AAA’s public relations manager.

The main problem stems from batteries that are three years or older.

“It’s going to be enough to possibly finish off some of those weak, older batteries. So if you have a battery that’s three years old or older, you might want to get it checked out,” Jenkins said…
