Two Men Arrested for Separate Offenses in Polk County Park Sting Operations

In a straightforward operation by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, two men were nabbed last Friday for separate offenses at county parks, following complaints about lewd conduct within those public spaces.

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Nicolas Campos, 43, of Ft. Meade, was arrested for allegedly soliciting an undercover detective for a lewd act in Lions Park. He faces one count of solicitation to commit a lewd act and is banned from all Polk County parks for ten years.

Sean Scarbro, 58, of Lakeland, was cited at Saddle Creek Park for possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia. An undercover detective detected the smell of marijuana coming from his vehicle, and Scarbro could not provide a valid medical marijuana card…
