A two-vehicle collision Wednesday southeast of Frostproof has left one person dead. Emergency crews and deputies from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office rushed to the scene on Old Avon Park Road, near the intersection of TS Wilson Road, after receiving reports of the crash at approximately 7:47 a.m. on February 18, 2026.
According to preliminary details released by authorities, the incident involved a passenger vehicle and a motorcycle.
First responders arrived shortly after the dispatch, but one individual involved in the wreck was pronounced deceased at the scene. Officials have not yet released the name of the deceased or the condition of the other driver involved…
