A motorcyclist died in a head-on collision with a truck Feb. 18 near Frostproof.
Polk County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched at 7:47 a.m. to Old Avon Park Road and Sangster Road, southeast of Frostproof.
Based on the preliminary investigation, a 2022 Yamaha motorcycle had been traveling on Old Avon Park Road and passed another vehicle in a non-passing zone at high speed.
