POLK COUNTY, Fla. – Polk County deputies tracked down and captured a Lakeland man Tuesday night following an alleged violent encounter that ended in a tactical traffic stop.
The investigation began around 9:21 p.m. on March 3rd, when deputies were dispatched to a home near Tanglewood Street and Combee Road, just west of Lakeland.
According to investigators, a man had repeatedly punched and choked a victim during an altercation. When the victim attempted to call 911 for help, the suspect reportedly snatched the cell phone to prevent the call…
