POLK COUNTY, Fla. – Tyler Voisard’s 18th birthday lasted exactly 31 minutes before he swapped his freedom for a jail cell. At the stroke of midnight on March 4, 2026, the Davenport resident officially became a legal adult, but by 12:31 a.m., he was being taken into custody by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office following a chaotic series of events at a local convenience store.

Deputies say the incident began when Voisard entered the 7-Eleven located at 3141 Ronald Reagan Parkway. According to a store employee, the teenager openly announced to those inside that he was “on mushrooms.”

Witnesses say he then walked behind the sales counter—an area restricted to staff—grabbed two packs of cigarettes valued at $19.62, and walked out of the store without offering payment…
