Bartow honors teacher with Union Academy marker

The Bartow Police Department attended the unveiling of a bronze historical marker honoring Louise “Lula” Marion Simmons-Longworth for her lasting impact on education at Union Academy High School in Bartow, Florida. The ceremony celebrated her more than 40 years of teaching and her role in naming the school after her alma mater in Gainesville.
