LAKELAND, Fla. – A 67-year-old Lakeland man died Thursday morning after being struck by a van on U.S. Highway 98 North. The crash occurred around 10:00 a.m. near the intersection of Pyramid Parkway, according to officials from the Lakeland Police Department.
Preliminary reports from investigators indicate that a Ford E-150 van, driven by 33-year-old Jorge Reyes Jr. of Mulberry, was heading south in the center lane. At the same time, the bicyclist was also traveling southbound but was positioned in the outside lane.
